In the field of law, what are the differences between the JD, LLM, and MLS degrees?

I am a senior at Bowie State Univ. majoring in Sociology/Criminal Justice (Spanish Minor). I am looking at various graduate programs. When I checked out Georgetown's Law School, I noticed they have JD, LLM, and MLS programs. What, exactly are the differences between these programs? What professions/specialties are each designed for?
